IPL is similar to a laser however; IPL utilizes a full light spectrum compared to a laser that only uses one wavelength of light or ‘ray’. The light pulses reach below the surface of the skin to heat up and damage the hair and follicle to discourage re-growth; all without damaging the surrounding tissue.

IPL is a safe and effective solution for removing unwanted hair on the back, underarms, legs, face and hands with long lasting results and is safe for most skin types. IPL is non-invasive and painless and permanently reduces the amount of hair re-growth. Side effects are minimal other than some reddening or slight swelling of the skin in the area treated.

Laser hair removal for men using IPL generally requires four to six sessions depending on the patient’s skin and hair type. Most patients return to their normal activities after each treatment.
