I am OPEN! I want to let everyone know that I have no intention of closing my services. Your issues are too important to be delayed. Due to the court closures and public restrictions at the tribunals and city facilities, enacting formal legal process will take additional time, however, this does NOT mean you can't call or email me with questions about your rights or a situation you are having. I am still doing consultations (in a modified way) and still doing drafting work during this. I am set up to be fully electronic and will discuss with you how the various closures may affect your situation, in the context of the ever-changing and complex variables at play with the most current information available at that time.
The Ken Seiling Waterloo Regional Museum has an exhibit opening tomorrow on Nelson Mandela. In recognition of Black History Month, I would encourage a visitation. Not only to learn about Apartheid in Africa and the life of Nelson Mandela but also to consider the broader issue of colonization, its unsustainable effects on modern society, and human rights. The Justice Department has reported that around a quarter million people have responded to the MAID survey, the highest response they have EVER received in public consultations, even more than when cannabis was being legalized! I believe the survey closes next Monday!
